Is Ms. Ophine’s all natural? Organic?
Our Shea Butter Cream is all natural and all organic most of the time. Most products we use are certified organic. Shea butter in particular does not always receive an organic certification even though it may be grown in organic conditions, and be fairly traded. Our understanding is that there are often barriers to receiving the official designation. That said, there are only natural and minimally processed ingredients in our product, nothing made by people.
Can I use this on my hair?
Yes! While everyone’s hair is different, Ms. Ophine’s Shea Butter Cream is adaptable for many hair types. Some folks use it on their locks, some to help detangle, and sometimes just to feed the hair healthy oil and nutrients. And we mean white folks, Black folks, Asian folks, all kindsa folks - so we recommend you try some out and see in what way it suits you.
I see all of the oils, is it oily?
The oils we use in Ms. Ophine’s are good for the skin and tend to be absorbed quickly. Because all of the ingredients are natural, there is nothing in the product that impedes absorption, so while it might look shiny for a moment after application, you’ll find your skin feels, healthy, supple, and nourished in no time, with no residue.
Are the scents strong?
The scents are subtle. We try to infuse just enough essential oils into the scented offerings to ‘remind you of that smell through the day’ as one friend put it.
